Hometown / Country:

Southern California, US

Projects Involved:

Two questions guide my research: Why do some people develop major depressive disorder and others don’t following similar life experiences? Why don’t antidepressants work for everyone with MDD? To begin addressing these I’m looking at the neurobiology of stress-resilience, specifically looking for differences in cholinergic signaling and synaptic properties between stress-resilient and -susceptible mice.

Hobbies / Other Interests:

Food. I like eating it, talking about it, thinking about it, and generally planning my life around it. Food is great. I also really like bikes, books, birds, and breads (essentially anything that starts with ‘b’). I also have two kids whose company I enjoy.
